After the Parks Board passed a motion recommending to City Council the amendment of certain ordinances in order to allow access roads to the tunnel to be built, but that provided that Watershed had to come back to the Parks Board for approval of the final bypass tunnel repair plan, some of us went across the hall to the Planning Commission hearing.

Hooray for Peter Steinhardt and Wayne Simmons who this morning single handedly reopened the south half of the main pool stairs at no cost to the city. New Species of Plant in Colorado Discovered by Barton Swimmer

From the SOS Alliance newsletter, Nov 30, 2009–Our very own Robert Corbin discovered a new plant species in the Colorado River bottoms of East Austin. The amazing discovery and scientific description of Iva corbinii was reported last week in Lundellia, the Journal of the Plant Resources Center of the University of Texas.
